Summer Warning
During the summer months when the central heating is not used it is essential that you switch the heating on(on low) for an hour or so each week.
In doing this you could prevent any build up of sludge within the system solidifying and blocking pipes/radiators completly and also prevent the central heating pump from seizing!

1. Thermostatic radiator valve replacement.
Thermostatic radiator valves allow you to control heat given out by each radiator and increases comfort as each room temperature can be contolled individually and reduces fuel bills by not wasting heat in unoccupied rooms.
By law, thermostatic radiator valves have to be fitted on all new systems.
If already fitted on system the valves may become stuck open or closed due to sludge bulid up, and it would make sense to replace them during the powerflushing of the system.
2. Circultaling pump replacement.
If on inspection of pump whilst removed from the system for powerflushing, we may recommend replacing it, we will show you the pump so you can inpsect it yourself and make the decision.
3. Electronic lime and scale protection.
We can supply and fit such a device if required, there are many of these devices available we always recommend visting the Fernox website to view their products.
4. Surestop cold water mains stop taps.

5. Fernox boiler buddy
This is a fantastic piece of equipment which connects into the central heating system at a convinient position where you can monitor the quality of water in your system. It constantly cleans and removes sludge and debris from system water and is also easily removed and cleaned.
6. Radiator replacement.
Pin holes can occur in radiators from time to time these will need to be replaced.
But we will change radiators on request.
7. System water check.
If all you need is a test for water quality in your central heating system then no problem.
using our water test kits we can give you what info you require.
8. Tank replacement
Old steel sludged up tanks will nearly always need to be replaced to keep the treated water within the central system free from the corrosion of old steel tanks.
Newer plastic tanks can be removed and cleaned out.
